YOU ARE IMPORTANT IN THIS QUEST!

I’m sure you must be wondering and asking yourself ‘What quest?’. Here, our quest is to touch lives positively, put smiles on the faces of other people and encourage the right things. And of course, I hope you know you are important with or without this quest! You are unique, one in a million and a rare gem but for the sake of this topic, let’s bring it down to our quest!

Having identified our quest, let’s move on. We all want our world to be a better place! We want things to be done in much better ways. We want good living conditions. We want unity and harmony in our various communities. We want people to be happy. We want things to be done the right way but the big question is: ‘Are you contributing to achieving the above mentioned things and more?’, ‘Have you been playing your part well at all?’

Here is where your importance comes in:

Let’s take a look at this illustration:
Imagine a dark room. Now, introduce one lit candle in the room. There’s beginning to be a difference (although little) right?. 

Let’s make the candles two. Of course, it is better than the former.

 Let’s increase it to ten candles. I’m sure you’re beginning to see the features in the room (maybe dimly). Add twenty more to make it thirty candles. Now, you can see everything clearly. The room is lit up!

       

        The same principle is applicable in our quest. You are one candle! Your candle is important. You are important. If you can play your part well in your own area and I can do same, then we’ll all combine together to lit up this dark world. We’ll all make a difference only if you choose to lit up your candle!

       

        Here’s what you have to do: Do and stand for what is right (even when no one is watching). With time, it’ll pay off and rub off on others. They’ll join you as well. Let the good stuff begin with you! We all have different set of friends, places we visit and means of human relationship and contact. I’ll play my part well to reach my friends with this message of lighting up my candle. You do so too. You’ll be surprised at how far we’ve been able to touch lives positively and succeed in our quest!

Away from candles, Let's take a look at another illustration:
A broom is made up of several broom sticks which means every broom stick is important. 

The function of a broom is to sweep dirt away from a dirty environment to make it clean. The same applies to us. I'll explain. You are one broom stick. 

Together we form a broom to sweep out dirt but this time change the negative things, ideas, norms, attitudes & activities in a dirty environment - our society & our world.

Just like only a broom stick cannot sweep dirt, so also this task of touching lives positively and impacting our society & world for good seems to be a huge task for just one person.

The desired positive change begins with you! Together, this quest will become less burdensome. Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM)!
