PAY ATTENTION TO THE BACKGROUND (Vol. 1) – Laying the Foundation





The background is usually the hidden part or portion of things. The fact that it is hidden poses a major challenge to several people who are concerned with the visible, outward and attractive appearances. I’ve discovered not just from nature but life generally that although the background seems ‘undesirable’ to many, it has the most tremendous effect! It seems to be the driving force or engine, thus giving room for the need for us to pay close attention to it.



Finding it hard to believe thus far? Here are some examples you can relate with:
·         When you look at a beautiful house, of course you applaud the nice painting and structure but you forget that there’s something hidden that keeps that beautiful house standing. It’s the foundation! The foundation represents the background! Imagine a house without a solid foundation. Collapse is looming!

·         For every interesting and mind-blowing movie you watch, although you see only the cast, there is a ‘behind the scene’ crew that works tirelessly to see to the success of the movie. This crew represents the background! If you think the background isn’t important then learn from this!
·         When you take a look at big ships in the oceans and seas (in movies or documentaries, if you not seen it life),you admire them. It will interest you to know that what controls the movement of what seems big and appears admirable  is controlled by a small wheel


In subsequent volumes, we’ll be looking at other examples and discussing them extensively. It holds lots of lessons for us to learn. This volume is just laying the foundation for us to see and know that the background is much more important than we thought!

I’m sure you were able to pick one or two things from the previous volume, ‘pause and think before pointing that finger’. This volume promises not to be an exception as we’ll be looking at something very critical. Critical because we are all involved and connected with this subject. We use it every day of our lives!
