PAY ATTENTION TO THE BACKGROUND (Vol. 3) – ‘Your Heart’

I hope you enjoyed volume 2 and picked vital lessons. This volume promises not to fall short of that standard. Today, we’ll be looking at ‘your heart as the background of your life’! I’m sure you’ll like to know what this volume has for us.

Before going into that squarely, let’s just establish a footing again. Students know that to experience academic success, they have to make efforts to ‘hide themselves’ at some point to study. By this I mean leave public view and distraction associated with it to study well. This is also a function of the background.

Also, many people believe that the spiritual controls the physical. I believe this too. The spiritual in this sense can be regarded as the ‘background’ certainly because it seems invisible. This is why we return to our closets (background) to pray sometimes. You can then tell from this that the background seems to be a sort of control center.

If the background is the control center, then looking at humans – you and I, Our heart is the background! Do you then have a good background? Do you have what seems to be a good heart?

The Holy Bible says: “Guard your heart with all diligence because out of it proceeds the issues of life”. It goes further to say “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is”. This means that you are who you are because of the state of your heart. Since this is true, I’ll simply advise us to all work on our heart. Invest in your background (heart)! Make positive investments that would make you a better person.

Pay closer attention to developing a good heart than just an attractive chart holding a list of outward materials. Your heart is important! Build a good heart, build a good YOU!

With this, we’ve come to the end of this series “Pay Attention to the Background”. I hope it a time well spent in reading through. I’ll appreciate we put the lessons learnt to good use in our quest to become better people and affect our world positively. Thanks!
