‘UNEXPECTED’ FOOD COMBINATIONS
Some
people have food combinations capable of causing ‘storms and earthquakes’ in
the stomach. Students in tertiary institutions (especially in Nigeria) form the
larger part of people in this group. When asked their reason(s) behind wrong food
combinations, they reply saying “for stomach sake”. This act is considered as
‘fun’ by some but it holds grievous consequences as it can lead to improper
digestion, stomach aches and diarrhea. Wrong food combinations may lead to
bloating, constipation and fatigue.
When I
hear about certain food combinations or see people eating them, I am surprised
at how they could enjoy such combinations. Some of these combinations appear
really strange. We’ll be exposing you to some of these wrong food combinations
as you read further.
HERE ARE SOME RIDICULOUS FOOD COMBINATIONS:
v
BREAD AND PLANTAIN
This is what some people call ‘African Hot-dog’. It may sound funny but
it still doesn’t change the fact that the combination is nowhere near a
‘balanced diet’. By eating this, you’ve succeeded in having only nutrients rich
in carbohydrates. It’s a wrong combination as good feeding is concerned.
v
ROASTED CORN AND INDOMIE
I’m sure you’ll be having the ‘who does that?’ expression on your face
right now. I couldn't even get a picture of this to upload. Well, it is actually true. Someone took this and the result was
admission in the hospital. I don’t know when feeding became a bad ‘adventure’
that you feel ‘excited’ to try out new thing such as this, howbeit wrong
things.
v
INDOMIE AND YAM
I can only try to imagine what it would taste like while some northerners
actually have a great taste of it. It is most times taken at night after a
hectic day at work in major parts like Lagos. On this, I’ll prefer to remain a
‘hearer’ than become a ‘doer’!
v
‘MULTI-COMBINED SOUP’ AND ‘EBA’
In the real sense of it, there’s no particular soup with the name
‘multi-combined’. When I say multi-combined, I’m referring to the combination
of three or more soups in one bowl/plate. Imagine having a combination of
Bitter leaf, 'Efo riro', Okro and 'Egusi' soups! I’ve tried just combining two
soups before and I was thankful to God the turnout wasn’t bad but four? Never!
Too much of everything they say ‘is bad’. What are you looking for if I
may ask? Is it ‘Over balanced diet’? You
feel it appears ‘super’, expect the stomach effect to be ‘super’ as well.
I’ll advice you visit online search engines like Google, Wikipedia among
others to obtain useful information about right food combinations.
Remember, good feeding leads to
good health and health is wealth!

some ridiculous food combinations you’ve made before.
