LEARN FROM NATURE

Nature, so beautiful and aesthetic in values. Fantastic sceneries, amazing islands, cute birds, fabulous landscapes, fascinating waterfalls, awesome plants and animal species, just to mention a few makes up what we call nature.

It'll be foolish to say there's no brain behind this natural world. Do you mean all these things came into existence   without a creator? Definitely not! Nature refers to the natural world without any sort of human technology, production or design.

It's always so much fun watching National Geographic Wild. It expands my scope of nature and exposes me to fascinating things I've never come across before. For Nat Geo Wild lovers it's always an adventure! My love for nature led me to get natural landscape wallpaper where others got those of cars, houses and kitchens.

Now, I'm not just a lover of nature, I learn from nature.

King Solomon, the wisest man and king to have ever lived in history said in one of his books 'Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wise'. Nature holds a number of good lessons to humans.

As you read on,  you'll get to know some of these lessons and begin to appreciate nature much more.

1. ANTS

Ants are one of the most popular insects in the universe.  They are present in places close to us. Although, they have different species,  they have something in common; something we humans can learn from. Ants teach you to: KNOW YOUR ENVIRONMENT (SURROUNDING SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES) FOR YOU TO PLAN WELL.

Ants have no guide, ruler or overseer. Even at that, they provide their meat in the summer and gather their food in the harvest.  This teaches us one thing: MAKE ADEQUATE PLANS AND PREPARATIONS!

Also, take out time to watch ants. I've done this and discovered that when an ant spots food and attempts to carry it along to it's home but cannot most likely because it's meal is heavier than itself, it moves quickly to call his other friends for support and when it does this, other ants combine their strengths and finally end up carrying the food.

What does this speak of? Obviously, it's TEAM WORK & COOPERATION! Learn from the ants.

2. GROWTH OF PLANTS.

The trees and shrubs we see around us or see on the Television all started from the level of seeds or reproductive organs. Most of these seeds are usually small but with consistent watering and repeated care for these plants, they grow to become mighty trees and shrubs.

LESSON: Don't be afraid to start something. Not matter how small it may be presently, just be consistent and hardworking because in due time, it will become a mighty tree - a great achievement!

Also, no Banana sucker is sown only to reap Guava. No Ginger rhizome is sown only to reap garlic. Not even Cocoyam's corm can yield tubers of Yam. A bean or maize seed yields beans and maize respectively.

LESSON: Man reaps whatever he sows. Consider the benefits and consequences of your actions before making certain decisions.

3. ROSE PLANT

Rose plant remains one of the most beautiful flowers in our planet. Although, admired by many and used for several purposes, it goes through a period of difficulty to produce such beautiful look.

A rose plant has thorns. Thorns are not friendly. You must have heard this saying 'Life is not a bed of Roses'. It's true!

LESSON: Life may not always be sweet. Challenges and difficulties show up but when you develop the right spirit to overcome them, they build your strength and make you better.

4. THE SUN

The Sun rises in the east and sets in the West they say.  Beautiful! When it rises, it speaks of day and when it sets it's night. The sun sets! What does it mean to set? It means to rest. No matter how busy your day may be or what a workaholic you feel you are,  you need to set; you need to REST and not just rest but have enough rest. Failure to do so will tell on your health and daily activities. Don't be surprised if you suddenly breakdown.

Have enough sleep and rest.  It holds a number of merits. It keeps you're body system refreshed among others.

5. NATURE GENERALLY

Looking at nature, you'll discover that it takes time to attain whatsoever height or level achieved thus far. It also seems very arranged and orderly thus bringing out it beauty.
Here is the lesson: Embrace patience and orderliness. It pays on the long run in life.

Having gone through just a few lessons of nature, I hope you get to love, study, appreciate and learn from nature much more! I'll be updating this article as soon as I get to understand more of the lessons nature teaches. Feel free to add yours on the commentbox. We learn together!
