WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT WEALTH.

SEE THE WRONG WEALTH HAS DONE

Yes! no one wants to be poor but some would rather remain just comfortable than being rich or wealthy for certain reasons. This article highlights some of these reasons. This is not to utterly rule out some benefits associated from being not just comfortable but wealthy. Some individuals in our world today although few in numbers have succeeded in channeling their wealth in the right course by giving back to/helping the society but for the majority of them, it's different. I sincerely believe that if the greater percentage of them embrace the right attitudes & initiatives, our societies would be better than they are today.

Achieving wealth has made certain people to forget their previous impoverished backgrounds and see how to help alleviate those still in that state. They feel it's an opportunity to explore the world, live extravagant lives, get unnecessary attention and force their opinions to be considered. Some see wealth as an avenue to avenge the wrongs done to them by certain people when they were previously poor (common, life's more than that)!
We may argue it out that wealth is a product of hard work (for those who get it legitimately any way). I totally agree but it's also true that it's a privilege. Some don't have the educational qualifications to get employed in several places and earn good or fat salaries like others.

For some, they have very good and productive business ideas but they lack funds to put their ideas into reality among several other reasons.

I belong to that school of thought that holds strongly to a quote *A name is better than Riches*. When we place Prestige/fame/honor along side Wealth, which would you prefer?. I'll advice you make it prestige/honor/good name because at the end of it all, it's the number of lives we've touched and affected positively that counts and matters.

No one takes wealth along with him/her. Also, some wealthy people believe they just must be rich to gain honor and prestige. They feel then they can buy honor/good name /prestige. This is not true because I've discovered (tested and trusted) that you don't need to be wealthy to earn fame, a good name, honor or prestige. A good deed especially at public view can earn you all that irrespective of your financial status. Then why choose to acquire wealth desperately or illegitimately?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not hitting at wealthy people but I'm just after restoring them to sanity. A lot of things need to be corrected to make our world a better place. They need to start reasoning like heroes, embrace selflessness, love, charity and wisdom. You may be reading this right now as a teenager, youth or adult (notwithstanding your financial status). Please, take time to learn the lessons. You never can tell to a great extent how many lives you'll be touching afterwards and transforming your society. Thanks.

ILLS TO NOTE:

1.  You acquire beautiful mansions, very beautiful! provided you help reduce the number of homeless & shelterless people in the streets and under bridges.

After all, you can only sleep in one room at a time. I think it'd be better that way before you make your mansion nothing but a tourist attraction site.

2. You choose to organize 'Free' Medical tests and checkups for people as a means to give back to the society. Extremely laudable and worthy of commendation provided they are organized for those in remote areas, villages or places with financially - challenged individuals. Those who can barely afford to buy drugs & carry out medical tests/checkups. Don't channel things like this to the already rich & comfortable ones much more.

3. You host very large parties and ceremonies to celebrate auspicious occasions. Who doesn't like to? but when you do this, limit wastages at these events.

I've discovered this several times I attend ceremonies. I see the quantity of meals and drinks usually wasted. I'm usually sad because my mind immediately flashes back to those who can barely afford a meal a day.

Limit wastages and if you can't invite the poor to your parties, keep the excess food and drinks and give to them. You're being a hero! You'll get blessings from them, respect, honor and a good name. It's high time we start affecting lives positively!

It is indeed true that wealth keeps you farther away/isolated  from those you should help or reach out to.
It's get humans unnecessarily puffed up and very proud. It's rare to find rich, simple and humble ones today.
Wealth creates over independence in self thus ruling out the 'no man is an island slogan'.

We can't claim that we don't know beggars and the poor exist in our societies not to even mention the orphans, widows, fatherless and physically-challenged. Lend a helping hand!

With all that has been said, let's join hands together

irrespective of our financial status & backgrounds to impact lives positively and make our world a better place!
